レビュー (Amazon)
Hans Zimmer went from helping create the quirky--if prophetic--pop single "Video Killed the Radio Star" by the Buggles to the Academy Award-winning score of Disney's The Lion King with nary a curve in the arc of his career. His 1997 score for James Brooks' As Good As It Gets displays the deceptive ease with which Zimmer shifts between comedy and drama, often in the same musical cue. This satisfying package includes excerpts from Zimmer's orchestral score, ballads by Danielle Brisebois, Judith Owens, and Shawn Colvin, and a hilariously dead-pan, deliberately overproduced version of Monty Python's "Always Look On The Bright Side of Life" sung with earnest conviction by Art Garfunkel. --Jerry McCulley
