レビュー (Amazon)
Yeehaw! When mother and daughter saddle up to travel cross-country in search of a place they can call home, that family motor vehicle is gonna need a twanging selection of tunes. Here are nine finely chosen guitar-strumming pieces of roots and country to speed the open road along to. Big names doing the honours are: Lyle Lovett ("Private Conversation"), Johnny Cash ("Sea of Heartbreak"), Emmylou Harris ("One of These Days") and Lucinda Williams ("One Night Stand"). There are also four suites from composer David Mansfield, getting about 14 minutes of playtime to jig and jangle the pace of the film along. You don't have to be running away from anything to enjoy the collection as a whole, just a quiet drive will do. --Paul Tonks
