レビュー (Amazon)In the unique cinematic world of John Waters (Baltimore), you can always ensure anything goes. He's generally favoured song collections for soundtracks, but
Serial Mom showed he's open to a score proper to help propel the drama of his real life through a pair of pink sunglasses. Now comes a totally off-the-wall blend of both ideas. Only here might you find the Henhouse Five Plus Too performing "In The Mood". There aren't too many other songs sung by chickens out there! There are also the insanely infectious ditties "Happy-Go-Lucky-Me" and "I'm A Nut". As always, these mirth-rich discoveries are perfect portraits of his characters. Stewart Copeland's original score is a light mix of guitar, keyboards, and cheerful saxophone. "Back to Hampden/Sneaky Shelly" still bears traces of his
Equaliser TV days, but both "New York Montage" and "Thrift Shop Fashion Shoot"' are jazzy surprises. Even though the movie's see-it-to-believe-it "Straight Boys" is included, please remember "no tea-bagging".
