レビュー (Amazon)Oscar Wilde's words are to be spoken wryly, with tongue firmly in cheek. Both Minnie Driver and Rupert Everett managed this perfectly in
An Ideal Husband and you can hear it in the extracts of dialogue between tracks on this album. The same thinking also seems to have informed Charlie Mole's score, which constantly skips along at a jovial pace. As the honour-bound gentlemen trip themselves up into ever more convoluted inter-relationship word-games, the pace quickens. It's rather like having a pleasant waltz at play in the background which is on a slow build up to detonation ("First Night Party"). This is music to make you smile and make others wonder what you're up to. --
